In all the studies done on both animals and humans the only adverse reaction to DCI was in a mouse study – apparently it made them slightly more susceptible to poisoning from a rare toxin called gold thioglucose which is associated with industrial waste. Poisoning and industrial waste is rarely a part of anyone’s health regime, so this should not be of practical concern to anyone wishing to supplement their diet with DCI. Whether you are man or mouse, it is certainly best to avoid toxic waste dumps whether you are taking DCI or not!
